Brakes & Brake Repair

We at Wear Master understand that safety on the road is of the utmost importance, so we strive to deliver reliable work that you can depend on every time. Here are some of the ways we can assist you in maintaining the quality of your vehicle’s brakes:

ABS: Anti-lock Brake System

Your vehicle’s Anti-lock Brake system (ABS) is designed to prevent your vehicle from sliding out during adverse weather conditions. By allowing your tires to continue rotating, your ABS affords you greater control and stopping power. If your ABS light is on, it’s a sign that this system has been disrupted, and usually means a faulty ABS sensor or hub assembly, if it’s an all-in-one part. Bring your vehicle in, and we’ll make sure this problem gets sorted out.

Brake Fluid Flushes

Brake fluid deteriorates over time, causing it to be less effective and possibly even detrimental to the system. Regularly flushing the system is important to maintaining the health and longevity of your brakes. Talk to our team about when it’s time to schedule a brake fluid flush.

Brake Hoses

A brake hose carries brake fluid to the brakes from the master cylinder. A leaking or crushed hose can cause your brakes to slow, become less responsive or even fail entirely. While it does not always need routine service, brake hoses should be replaced at the first sign of wear.

Brake Pad & Shoe Replacement

Brake pads not only are the tools used to stop your vehicle, but also help to prevent grinding that can damage your rotors or drum. Squealing sounds while braking are an indicator that it’s time for your pads to be serviced. Because failing pads can lead to more lasting damage — including failure to stop — it’s important to have them replaced quickly.

Caliper Replacement

The brake caliper and caliper bracket houses your brake pads and keeps them tight against the rotor when you brake. Problems with your caliper could cause your vehicle to brake unevenly, wearing our your brakes quicker and even causing damage to other brake system components. It’s important to have calipers regularly looked at to ensure optimal braking performance at all times.

Resurface Rotors

Your rotors wear down over time. Cracks and grooves will begin to show with continued use and will cause wobbling and squealing. Resurfacing your rotors will help prevent this for optimal brake performance.
